Trees Atlanta and the Last Elevator

The non-profit Trees Atlanta has been lucky enough to inhabit donated office space in downtown Atlanta...until now. The space they currently occupy will be taken over by the feds, displacing not only TA, but also the last human-operated elevator in Atlanta (I had stated "human-powered", but was reminded that it wasn't a rickshaw...)

So...time for a party! We gathered in the offices and rode in the elevator...up to the roof and down to the basement. The elevator was redone in the 70's, but if you could look past the paneling and the questionable carpet, the simplicity of the UP/DOWN lever and the little lights indicating a call from one of the floors was kinda cool...

...and down in the dungeon
